The Scottish Rite Master Craftsman program is an exciting by-mail correspondence course designed and administered by staff at the House of the Temple in Washington, D.C., under the guidance and leadership of the Supreme Council, 33°, of the A. & A. Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction, U.S.A.
All new members of the Valley of Seattle are gifted Master Craftsman I as part of our candidate education program. Existing members may purchase Master Craftsman I, II, & III from the Supreme Council web store. We also stock MCI at the Valley office and ocasionally have MC II and MCIII available to purchase.
Part I consists of six lessons, utilizing The Scottish Rite Ritual Monitor and Guide and A Bridge to Light, as its textbooks.
Part II returns to the texts from the first program in nine quizzes and re-explores the ritual on a deeper level, looking for the moral lesson imparted in each degree and then applying that lesson to one’s everyday life.
Part III returns to the Symbolic Lodge and will familiarize students with aspects of the development of Blue Lodge Masonry and explore some of its developing symbolism.
